Tenant FAQ » About Member Services
Former landlords or property managers are the best thing to have on an application, and it is the first thing that a landlord will look for when processing your paperwork. Neighbors will also make good references, if they can assert that you followed the regulations of the apartments and were easy to co-exist with. If asked for professional reference, try to provide the contact info for a manager or supervisor that you worked directly under.
You can also obtain written references beforehand so that the landlord does not need to make unnecessary phone calls.
