What will make a landlord look upon my application more favorably?

Tenant FAQ » About Member Services

The best thing that you can do to improve your chances of being accepted is to include any documentation that shows you to be an upstanding and monetarily stable adult. You will want to provide letters from utility companies, loan officers, and previous landlords that state that you were a good client and that your account was ended under favorable circumstances.

If your credit rating is poor, you can enlist a friend, co-worker or relative to co-sign on your lease for you. The signature from a guarantor can show a landlord that you are taking the necessary steps to rebuild your credit rating.
